RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Students admitted in Class II and onwards should join after the completion of final examination in previous school and bring “PROMOTION GRANTED” Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools /Education officer for ICSE Board.
    Transfer Certificate from CBSE Board should have school’s affiliation number on it.
  • Please check the spellings and other details while getting the Transfer certificate issued from the previous school. Admission department will update office record as per details mentioned in Transfer certificate submitted by you. Kindly note, there will be no changes afterwards in students admission record at our end.
  • A medical officer's certificate of health stating "Fit to Join" must be submitted with the admission form.
  • All the children should be given hepatitis 'A' & 'B" vaccination and certificate must be produced at the time of admission.
  • After two weeks of joining, new students will be given 10 minutes phone calling chance once in a week for 10 minutes as per the phone calling time table mention on the website.
  • All texts books be purchased as the school will not undertake the responsibility to get these for the students. Text books are available at National Book House, Dispensary Road, Dehradun – 248 001. Telephone No. 0135 – 2659430.
  • Stationery is supplied by the school. No Textbooks will be supplied or arranged for by the school.
  • All linen must be marked with NAME TAPES and not marking ink, before it is accepted in school. Name tapes are available at M/s Pal Enterprises, S-164, Khyber Pass Mess, Civil Lines, Delhi – 110 054. Telephone No. 011- 23819157.
  • Mufflers, Caps etc. Used in school during the winter months should be red.
  • The school takes every precaution to ensure the safety of the children. However, the school will not be liable for any damages/ charges/ costs on account of accidents in school, or while on treks, hikes, excursions or other activities.
  • Students will not be called on telephone except on their birthdays.
  • Kindly provide your child with complete set of PROPER UNIFORM and at least two pairs of black strong walking shoes (low heels).
  • LEAVE / OUTING:- Under no circumstances will parents / guardians be allowed to visit or take their children out on week days except the days mentioned on the Holiday list and bring them back by 04.30 p.m. on the exact day as specified in the school calendar.
  • Please note that the students will be allowed only with their parents or by some duly authorized person. The children will not be allowed in coloured clothes. They must go out in Uniform.
  • No pupil will be allowed out with friends or relations unless a written permission from the parents is given to the Superior/Principal Letters of authorization should be written on office Letter Head Paper.
  • No child will be permitted to go out with a brother or sister studying in a local school.
  • Students who return late after holidays or long weekends will not be allowed to enter the school without a fine of Rs. 2000/- per day. Parents are requested to be more responsible and honest in these matters and co-operate with the rules and regulations of the school for the benefit of their child and the Institution.
  • Students re-joining late after break or illness should get written permission from the Principal to join the boarding or enter the class.
  • No child will be called to the telephone, nor will she be allowed to meet parents, relations or friends during class hours. In an emergency a child may be called to the Principal’s office telephone – 0135-2632747 but not to the school office telephone.
  • Strict regularity, Obedience, Courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness in person and dress are expected from every pupil. Parents and pupils are asked to co-operate with the school authorities regarding instructions, rules and regulations.
  • Any boarder who leaves the school premises without the Superior’s/ principal’s permission, will be sent home immediately.
  • Boarders are strictly forbidden to lend articles of clothing to one another. Parents must urge their children not to lend or borrow.
  • No tuck or food from outside is allowed – STRICTLY PROHIBITED except table tuck like dry fruits, nuts and pickles
  • No holidays request to be match with other schools like Allen or St. Georges will be entertained. Parents are strictly advised not to approach us for the same.
  • Parents are requested not to ask for the children to attend special Functions at home. These absences are detrimental to the student’s studies.
  • WALKMANS, I.PODS EXPENSIVE WATCHES, GOLD JEWELLERY ETC. ARE BANNED AND IF FOUND STRICT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. MOBILE PHONES / SIM CARDS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN IN THE SCHOOL.
  • Parents must ensure that their wards do not bring mobile phones / SIM Cards to the school or to the boarding. In case of a student being found in possession of any of these items, the same shall be confiscated and a fine of Rs. 5,000/- is charged and the child will be rusticated from the school.
  • Parents are requested not to give Mobile phones to other students when you visit your child.
  • No birthday parties will be celebrated – neither the cakes nor other eatables are allowed in the school except the sweet distribution. The distribution of souvenirs is also not allowed.
  • Parents are advised not to send / post any form of food items as these will be confiscated and donated to St. Lawrence School.
  • Parents are advised to get their children’s eyes and teeth checked and properly treated during the holidays. No leave will be granted during the school session.
  • Parents giving medicines to their children must inform Sister Superior with the prescriptions from the doctor.
  • Pocket money to be deposited in cash in the office only on school re-opening day. Students are not allowed to keep money with themselves incase if it is lost, the school will not be held responsible for the same.
  • No relatives will be allowed to meet the child without the written authority letter from the Parents.
  • Please obtain an entry slip from the office before the child goes to the dormitory without which she will not be allowed in the dormitory.
  • A student may be fined, suspended or expelled from school on receiving various reasons mentioned below:
  • Serious behavioral problems like:

  • Undesirable Vices.
  • Bullying.
  • Case of robbery or theft
  • Insubordination & insolence
  • Willful damage or misuse of School property.
  • Groupism among students.
  • Use of abusive or foul language.
  • Using unfair means during the examinations.
  • Keeping Mobile Phones / electronic gadgets.
  • Unpunctuality.
  • Breaking natural bounds of the school (bunking)
  • Late comers after school holidays or on exit permits
  • Disrespecting school rules and regulations
  • Disrespecting teachers and members of the staff
  • Reported misbehavior on exit or off the school premises.
  • Day Scholar Parents- Please instruct your wards strictly not to take any letters from Boarders / bring any sort of material from outside or pass any message to their parents on telephones or taking any gadgets to recharge at any time. Without the permission of the Principal no student is allowed to come to school with eatables or any item in the evening. Strict action will be taken if found.
  • Leave applications / half day leave must be addressed to the Principal; no child will be allowed to leave the school without a written application. Long absence without information will be fined of Rs. 1000/- per day.
  • BED WETTERS ARE NOT ACCEPTED- Parents will be requested to withdraw the child if she is found wetting her bed.
