A MEETING WITH EX-WAVERLITES OF THE OLD WITH THE YOUNG BATCH OF 1972-73

Description: On the 23rd of March, Waverley opened her doors to welcome thirteen students from the batch of (1972-73) who had been invited by Sr. Anita to visit their alma mater. The ladies ( or girls!) arrived in School with great enthusiasm, happy to be back after 45 years. A special programme was organised in their honour with songs and dances. Christina rendered a melodicious version of Ed Sheeran's Photograph to revive the memories of the Guests of Honour. Yashima Arenja and Jasvinder Purewal spoke to the students, reminiscing about their time in School and advising the students to enjoy their years in School as they would never come back. At the end of the programme, the ladies came up on stage for a special interactive session with the present students, hosted by Prof. Dr. Indu Garg, one of the esteemed guests itself . Dr. Indu had visited the School on the 17th of March as well where she spoke to the girls about cherishing their time at Waverley as this is the best foundation that a girl can get. Dr. Indu Garg retired as the head of the department of Education, University of Mumbai. She holds a Ph.D and M. Phil in Education and M.Ed from University of Mumbai, besides diplomas in the field of education. The students enjoyed their interaction with the ex- students who entertained everyone with their humorous onecdotes. The group brought the days activies to an end by singing the old School Anthem.
